Pruebas NodoOSiUX

Con motivo de la próxima erección del nodo, el sábado 16/02/2008 se realizaron varias pruebas de conexión en la terraza (sobre un piso 22), el nodo actualmente se encuentra en un piso 12. Si bien se pudo asociar a todos los nodos detectados, sólo con NodoMandrake se consiguió un enlace estable y hacer una prueba de trasmisión.
Nota : Todas las pruebas fueron realizadas únicamente por OSiRiS, el cuál tuvo que sostener la antena, el AP y la notebook al mismo tiempo sin caerse ni perder la conexión, seguramente esto influyó mucho en los resultados :-P

Prueba de Trasmisión
Luego de establecer un enlace estable contra NodoMandrake, se accedió por ssh y se realizó una prueba de transmisión mediante iperf.

Conclusión
- La altura y los 360 grados de visión cambian completamente el panorama, pudiendo este nodo establecer varios enlaces direccionales con unos 4 o 5 nodos más.
- Este tipo de pruebas debe ser organizada y realizada con al menos 2 personas, por seguridad y a fin de hacer mayor cantidad de testeos seguros.

Reacomodando las antenas, hice una prueba y logré conectarme a NodoParis. Hasta subir todo a la terraza queda el Linksys como AP-Conectado con un OvisLink en modo Bridge hacia NodoParis. El enlace si bien tiene algo de perdidas de paquetes está estable.

Fotos
